Brief:

A premium UK cake manufacturer tasked us to create a smart, protective and user-friendly transit pack for a single tray cake.

The packaging needed to be robust yet accessible, ensuring that the product arrives in perfect condition.

Not only this, but the packaging needed to be easy to unload, allowing for simple and hygienic removal without damaging the cake, while meeting food safety and compliance standards.

Solution:

We designed a tailored corrugated transit box featuring a front drop-down panel, allowing the cake to be gently slid out without lifting or tipping.

All work was carried out under BRCGS Storage & Distribution AA-grade conditions, ensuring full compliance with food industry hygiene, safety and traceability standards.

By working with us, the company were able to vastly reduce breakages to their products during transport and handling, reporting zero damage with the new packaging. They were also able to hit their sustainability targets for 2025, thanks to the material’s 100% recyclability.
